Strategic Rebrand for Bowmanville Hospital Foundation
The Bowmanville Hospital Foundation was preparing for an ambitious capital campaign to support the expansion and redevelopment of the local hospital. However, their brand identity no longer reflected the scale, credibility, or clarity needed to inspire donor confidence or unify internal and external stakeholders. The existing visuals and messaging felt outdated and inconsistent, making it harder to connect emotionally with donors, volunteers, and community partners.
What they needed was more than just a new logo — they needed a brand system that could rally the community, attract high-level support, and establish trust for a multi-million-dollar ask.
The Solution
The Bowmanville Hospital Foundation needed more than just a visual update — they required a complete non-profit rebrand to better align with their values, appeal to modern donors, and unify their internal communications. The existing brand lacked cohesion and no longer reflected the level of professionalism required for a successful healthcare fundraising strategy. With a growing need to attract donors and partners, a clear and compelling hospital foundation branding system was essential.

I was brought in to lead the strategic rebrand — not to create visual assets, but to guide the brand from the inside out.
Working closely with the Foundation team and Board of Directors, I developed a comprehensive brand strategy that aligned the organization’s values, vision, and goals with a bold new direction.

Repositioning the Foundation with a more confident, contemporary voice
Clarifying brand pillars, tone, and messaging architecture
Creating a creative brief and direction for the new visual identity
Consulting on the rollout of new marketing collateral, campaign materials, and donor-facing assets
Ensuring internal teams, board members, and external vendors were aligned on the updated brand system
